Handel: Saul
Fri 12 Nov 19:00
A dramatic oratorio
Handel’s magnificent oratorio Saul is based on the Old Testament story of Saul, King of Israel, and David, slayer of the giant Goliath and Saul’s eventual successor. Over three acts, the drama spans triumph, jealousy and finally tragedy, with wonderfully inventive music and superb characterisation.
