Bernard Butler
Heavy Pop presents Bernard Butler
Musician, songwriter and producer Bernard Butler releases ‘Good Grief’, his first solo album in 25 years.
In 1989 Bernard Butler started Suede, co-writing and playing guitar on every record until he left the group five years later. Going solo, he signed to Creation Records releasing two acclaimed albums – ‘People Move On’ and ‘Friends and Lovers’ – before the collapse of the legendary label.
Butler then moved into song-writing/producing, making records for Sam Lee, The Libertines, Tricky, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Kate Nash and Duffy, amongst others, and picking up a raft of Producer’s awards along the way. Now he is back with his first solo album for 25 years. Join us at SJE to hear him playing ‘Good Grief’.
Please note: this is an unreserved seated show, doors 7 pm.
