The Oxford Baroque Players perform Haydn’s Paukenmesse – a jubilant but troubled work written during the French Revolutionary Wars – alongside concertos and symphonies from the Bach family. Supported by the beautiful surroundings of St John the Evangelist, they will explore musical styles and genres from across the eighteenth century, including a lesser-known symphony by the “London” Bach, Johann Christian.
