CORONA BAROQUE ENSEMBLE (Leader, Miranda Walton)

Choros, along with Corona Baroque Ensemble, make their triumphant return to live concert performance with a powerful trio of works from the years 1756 and 1791, the dates of Mozart’s birth and death.   Along with Mozart’s famous Requiem of 1791 completed by Sūssmayr, the programme includes another magnificent work by Mozart from the same year, the Clarinet Concerto in A major.  Jane Booth will play this exuberant, lyrical and joyous concerto in the originally-conceived version for bassett clarinet. Complementing these two well-known works, the programme kicks off with Franz Josef Haydn’s sparkling early composition from 1756, the Salve Regina for soprano solo and chorus.

This performance will be shown online as well as live in concert.
