Jess Gillam is electrifying the music world with her outstanding talent and infectious personality. In demand internationally as a performer, she also presents on UK TV and radio. This 2022 programme is a new one, with the single exception of RANT! by John Harle, a piece written specially for – and about – her.
As with her last appearance at SJE Arts, Jess is accompanied by James Baillieu. Described by the Daily Telegraph as ‘in a class of his own’, James is one of the leading song and chamber music pianists of his generation.
‘She may only be 20 years old, but saxophonist Jess Gillam was the indisputable highlight of the Last Night of the Proms.’ BBC News, Last Night of the Proms 2018.
